Debut a Melbourne..

Pour commencer, je vous fais visiter ma petite colloc dans laquelle je vais vivre pendant ce séjour en Australie !

Firstly, I will present to you my housemate where I will stay!

Mon rythme de la semaine a été entre aller à l’université et sorties le soirs pour fêter le départ de Yannick. Voici d’ailleurs quelques photos de la soirée que nous avons fais chez mon tuteur. Je vous laisse admirer la vue sur Melbourne depuis son balcon !! Génial non… En plus j’habite juste dans la semaine parallèle à la sienne, donc tous les matins, je peux admirer la vue en le rejoignant pour aller à l’univ.

My rhythm for the first week was between going to the university and enjoyed the Yannick's departure! Here are some photos about a party what we did in my supervisor's house. I let you see the wonderful view from is balcony!! Great not... Moreover, I live just on the next road so every morning, I will see this view the time to meet him in order to go in the uni.

Enfin, en pleine hiver et avec ce vent, il va bien falloir attendre l'été pour se baigner^^ Donc promenade le long de la plage et visite du petit marché avec Laura (Italienne) et Tone (Norvégienne) ! Bon voila les filles et les bijoux... forcement on s'arrete!

But, during the winter and with that wind; I will have to wait the summer to swim^^ So walking along the beach and visit of the market with Laura (Italian) and Tone (Norwegian)! Here we go; a jewel’s market and we have to stop...

Et oui je suis dans une collogue internationale Italienne, norvégienne, Chinoise, Malaisien !! Et il faut aussi rajouter les 5 ou 6 chinois que se trouve dans le garage aménagé derrière la maison!

I am in an international housemate! Italian girl, Norwegian girl, Japanese girl and Malaysian man!! And I have to add the 5 or 6 Chinese men and women who are living and the garage behind the house witch has been modified to live.

En tout cas, ca fais plaisir de voir les palmiers et la plage... mais sans la chaleur pour le moment!!

Anyways, I am so happy so palm trees and the beach... but without a warm weather!!

Pour ce qui est de vivre ici, je dois dire que je me sens comme en Europe ! Du coté Angletterre bien sur puisque ca parle Anglais et qu'ils roulent à gauche!! Ha oui, un truc hyper important ici... Quand vous voulez traverser la route ... regarder a droite d'abord!! Je vous promets ça ne vient pas naturellement!! Et aussi, je trouve que les gens ne sont pas du tout agréable ici... pas de bonjour quand tu croises quelqu'un et je ne vous parle pas de l'aimabilité dans les magasins! On est très très loin des US!!

About living here, I have to say that I am feeling than in Europe! Certainly England side because of English and drive on the left side!! Oh yes, one thing very important here... When you want to cross the road... look on the right first!! I promise you, it is not useful!! And I find that the people or not so pleasant here... no hello and I do not tell you about the friendliness in the shops! We are so far comparing to the US!!

Bonjour tout le monde!! dsl pour cette attente mais le temps de se poser et trouver un endroit ou loger, ca m'a pris un bout de temps! Mais, bon ca y est cette fois donc voici mon debut dans le pays des kangourous....

Hello everyone!! I am sorry for the delay but the time to find somewhere to live and breath a little bit, I needed few days! But, here we go; so below there is my begining in the kangourous' country....

Tout d'abord le voyage... Pellevoisin → Paris → Londres → Singapour → Melbourne

Firstly the travel...Pellevoisin → Paris → Londres → Singapour → Melbourne

Départ mardi midi de pellevoisin en voiture pour se rendre à Roissy. Check-in et control impeccable, voila qu'on je commence à savoir^^ 45min de vol suffise pour se rendre a Londres ou m'attend mon vol international!

Starting Tuesday afternoon drive toward Roissy. Check-in and control faultless, I start to know^^ 45min flight later, I landed in London where my international flight is expecting me.

Décollage depuis Londres a 22H heure locale soit 23H heure Française et après mon premier repas, j'ai pu faire une petite nuit, regarder quelques films avec mon écran perso, boire un coup,..., prendre un autre repas,... une collation... bref, 12H20 de vol pour atterrir a Singapour ce qui représente tout de même plus de 10880km!! Ensuite de nouveau control de sécurité a l'aéroport juste au cas où entre temps en serait devenu méchant et retour dans l'avion. Tout le monde est descendu afin de remplir les réservoirs de l'avion. Donc 1 heure plus tard redécollage direction Melbourne...
Un autre repas, sieste, film et re-repas pour une durée de vol de plus de 8 heures. J'oubliais, à chaque repas, petite bouteille de vin pour accompagner!!
Take off from London at 10pm (local hour) either 11pm in France and after my diner, I could sleep and did a little night, watch fews movies with nmy own screen, have drinks,...,have another lunch,...,eat again... so 12H20 flight to landing in Singapor airport which means more than 6800 miles!! Next, new security control just in the case if during this short time, somebody would became bad and come back in the plane. Everybody est got off the aircraft in order to fill in the aircraft's tank. So 1 hour later, take off toward Melbourne...

Another lunch, sleep, movie and breckfast for more than 8 hour flight time. I forgot, on each meal, one little bottle of wine to come with!!

Arriver sur Melbourne aux environs de 5 heures du matin heure locale. Passage de l'émigration, qui est très simple; puis récupération de mon bagage de soute. Ensuite direction, le bus pour me diriger vers central station ou tous les bus et tram se regroupe enfin de prendre une ligne de tram et me diriger chez un français qui va me loger pour quelques jours, le temps de trouver une piaule.

Arrival in Melbourne around 5am local hour. Passage through the emigration control, which is quite easy; then take back my luggage. Next, go to a bus station in order to join the downtown and take a tram to reach the house of the French guy who will let me sleep in his housemate for several days, just the time to find mine.

Arriver vers 7H30 et je dois dire que l'hiver a Melbourne, il n'y fait très chaud! C'est sur que c'est un peu mieux que l'hiver français mais il faisait quand froid (environ 10 dégrées).
Arrival around 7:30am and I have to say that the winter in Melbourne in quite cold! Anyway it's better than the French's winter but it is not too warm (only 10 degrees)

Petit dej, puis direction mon université ou je vais en profiter avoir accès a internet et chercher de quoi me loger. J'en ai profité pour rencontrer mon tuteur et faire connaissance.

Breakfast, then go to my university and benefit of the internet access and look for an accomodation. I benefited too to met my supervisor and all the team.

Les 4 jours qui ont suivis, j'ai navigué entre recherche sur internet, visites, et premières balades dans le centre de Melbourne avec Yannick (le francais qui me loge). À oui, j'oubliais, aussi premières soirées avec des Australien!! Tout d'abord avec les collègues de boulot puis avec des jeunes pour le weekend !! Premières impressions, alcool super chers (5-6 dollars la biere)!! Et jolie filles également et chaude ambiance!!

The next 4 days, I "travelled" between on looking on internet, visits, and first walks in the downtown of Melbourne with Yannick. (the French guy with let me sleep in his house). Oh yes, I forgot too, first outing with Australian guys!! firstly with my collegues, then with some young people during the weekend!! First comments: alcohol is expensive (5-6 dollars for a beer)!! And beautifull girls and hot atmosphere!

Lundi, retour a l'université ou j'ai commence à rechercher des infos pour mon stage. Sujet super intéressant puisqu'il touche a l'aérodynamique et en plus c'est sur les combinaisons (de pilotes, nageurs, cyclistes, best jumper...)
Monday, back in my uni where I started to research some information for my project. Subject very interresting because it is on the aerodynamics and moreover on the suits (driver suits, swimsuits, bikesuits, jumping suits...)

Puis lundi soir, emménagement dans ma colloc. J'ai rejoins le groupe composé d'une italienne, d'une norvégienne, d'un et d'une chinois(e), d'un thaïlandais. Bref, premier contact pris je sens que ca va très bien se passer!! Ha aussi, petite chance pour moi car mon tuteur habite juste sur la rue qui est parallèle à la mienne donc il ma proposé de m'amener tous les jours au taf; j'économise ainsi le billet de tram!! Pas mal non^^

Then monday night, move in my housemate. I joined the group of several international students. One italienne girl, one norway girl, one chinese girl, one chinese man and one thai guy. yey, first contact and I feel that it will have good times! Too, a little luck for me, my supervisor lives just on the road next to mine, so he offered to me driving every day to the uni so I will gain some money taking not the tram!! not bad no^^
