Mes parents ont atterrit 1 heure en retard, environ vers 23H. C’était plutôt pas mal car j’avais envisagé d’arrivé 1 heure en avance au cas ou… J Ensuite, direction ma colloc en taxi ou nous sommes arrivés environ 30 min plus tard. Petite discussion puis direction dodo car la visite de l’Australie commence dès le lendemain, avec Melbourne !

My parents landed 1 hour later than expected, around 11:00pm. It was pretty good, I was at the airport 1 hour earlier… GGrrr Then, we took a cab and arrived to my place 30 min later. We discussed a little bit and I let my parents sleep.

Tuesday, Nov. 3rd 2009

Papa s’est levé assez tôt pour une journée de vacance (7H30) and maman n’a tardé après. Après un petit déjeuner, nous avons pris le tram direction le centre ville. Premier arrêt au Docklands, puis la rue commerçante autour de ce port. Ensuite, nous avons le tram de ville, un vieux tram qui est gratuit pour nous rendre en plein milieu du centre ville. Nous avons passé dans une petite ruelle devant Flinders Street Station (la gare), et nous nous sommes arrêtés dans un bistrot pour déjeuner. Ensuite promenade sur Swanton St., Chinatown, Elizabeth St. et Federation Square. Après, nous avons été voir les stades de Melbourne avec: Olympic Stadium, Australian Open Stadium & croquet stadium. Ensuite, nous avons marché le long de la Yarrah river… Nous nous sommes arrêtés devant le fire show à South Bank et nous avons diné. Super ambiance car ce jour là, c’était le jour de la Melbourne Cup, une course de chevaux, et c’est un jour férié du à la course ! Tout le monde est bien habillé avec costume pour les hommes et belle robe et petit chapeau pour les dames. Trop jolie !! 22h déjà, nous sommes rentrés.

Dad woke up pretty early at 7:30 am and my mum followed later. We had breakfast and after that, we toke the tram toward the city. Firstly, we went to the Docklands, the street with all the stores close to that street and toke the “city tram” to come back to the city. We walked to a little street front of Flinders station and we had lunch in a bistro. Afterward, we walked to Swanton St., visited Chinatown, Elizabeth St. and Federation Square. Then, we went to the stadiums: Olympic Stadium, Australian Open Stadium & croquet stadium. Next, we just came back to the city along the Yarrah River… We stopped to a specific to see the fire show on South Bank and then, we had dinner in a restaurant there. Great ambiance. The funniest thing, it was the Melbourne Cup day, which means that everybody in Melbourne is suit on. Suit for men and beautiful dress for the girls with a little hat. So beautiful!!!And then, we walked back along the river to take a tram and came back to my place. It was already 10pm and my parents were quite sleepy.

Après une bonne nuit et un bon petit déjeuner, nous avons pris de nouveau le tram pour aller à la tour Eureka 88. Celle-ci permet d’avoir un vue sur Melbourne depuis son 88ème étage. Après une monté à 9m/s, nous y voilà à 285 mètres de haut ! Très jolie. Nous avons tout vue, tout du moins ce que nous avons reconnus J : Docklands, Melbourne Port, F1 circuit, St Kilda, Stadiums, Federation Square, Flinders Station, the CBD, Yarrah River, Victoria Market, Melbourne university,… Ensuite, j’ai amené les parents dans un magasin d’opale et ils ont pu suivre un petit cours.. En anglais bien sur ! Bon ok je leur ai traduit :) Ensuite, direction le South Melbourne Market, un marché au Sud de Melbourne. C’était la première que j’y allais et bien un peu dessus car il n’y avait que de la nourriture. Puis direction Albert Park… c’est où le GP de F1 de Melbourne se déroule !! Et oui, on a marché dessus et je me suis même installé en pole position !! Mince, j’avais oublié ma voiture J Génial ! Dommage que je ne serais pas là au mois de mars pour le voir.. Puis nous avons été à St Kilda, la plage la plus proche du centre ville… Il faisait trop froid et beaucoup de vent donc on n’est pas resté sur la plage ! Mais bon, on a vu un pingouin dans les rochets. Petite bière puis on est retournés en centre ville pour diner à Lygon St. , le rue italienne. Restaurant avec drapeau de Ferrari au mur ! Pas mal du tout. Retour ensuite à ma colloc pour préparer nos bagages car demain direction le désert Australien!!
After a good night and a breakfast, we took the tram toward the city and the Eureka Skydesk 88 Tower. This tower allows to us to have an amazing view on Melbourne since the 88 floors! After go up at 9m/s, we were at 285 meters high. So nice. We saw everything, Docklands, Melbourne Port, F1 circuit, St Kilda, Stadiums, Federation Square, Flinders Station, the CBD, Yarrah River, Victoria Market, Melbourne university,… After that, we went to an Opal Store and my parents got a lesson!! Then, we went to the South Victoria Market. I was a little bit disappointed because it was only a food market and it is very small. Anyway we know. Then, we went to Albert Park… That place is where the Formula one GP in Melbourne takes place! And obviously, we walked on the circuit! Not during the all 5km length, but on the long straight with the pit stop and few corners. I was even qualified at the pole position!!! Damage, I forgot my car J After that, we went to St Kilda and the dock and the beach. We even saw a penguin in the rocks!! And then, we took a drink in a bar and come back to the city to buy a hat for my parents before going to the desert the next day. We had dinner in Lygon St, the Italian street. The flag of the Scuderia and Mickael were in. To finish, we came back to the tram line and on the way, we saw the exhibition house by night. After, we prepared our luggage because the next day, we are going to the desert…

Debout à 4H du matin pour ne pas rate l’avion. Taxi direction l’aéroport pour avoir notre vol prévu à 7H10. Nous étions un peu en avance mais bon, vaut mieux que ce soit dans ce sens… Passage au control de sécurité et là … Bip bip ^^ oups qu’est-ce qu’il y a dans le bagage à maman… un ciseau !! oh non dommage :( Ca va ici ils sont cool. Ensuite pour changer, je suis de nouveau contrôler pour la détection d’explosif dans le bagage à main… Enfin c’était une charmante nana donc pas de souci ! ^^ Mais le plus mauvais arrive… Après une heure de retard pour l’embarquement, nous montons enfin dans l’avion et la, encore une mauvaise surprise ; le commandant de bord nous indique que nous ne pouvons pas voler car la radio est en panne ! Zut. Donc nous descendons de l’avion et après avoir repassé le contrôle de sécurité et c’est maman qui s’est fait contrôler cette fois-ci pour les explosifs. Et 4 heures plus tard, nous embarquons enfin pour nous dirigés vers Alice Springs. Pour s’excuser, la compagnie nous a offert une boisson donc bourbon pour papa et moi ! Mais plus jamais Tiger Airways comme compagnie ! Une fois arrivé à Alice Springs, nous avons pris notre voiture de location et nous nous sommes dirigés vers le centre ville pour y faire quelques courses. Puis direction le désert… Premier arrêt à Sandly Chasm. Malheureusement, nous n’avons pas visités cette gorge car il fallait payer donc nous nous sommes dirigés vers le point suivant qui est Ellery Creek. Pour cet endroit, c’est plutôt randonnée de plusieurs jours donc nous avons poussés encore au point suivant. Arrivé à Serpentine Gorge, cette fois c’est bon donc nous avons pu visiter la gorge qui est très jolie, mais bon il n’y a vraiment pas beaucoup d’eau à la fin de a saison sèche! En plus, nous avons vu un énorme lézard ! puis nous avons été à Ormidon Gorge, un autre magnifique endroit ! Nous avons marché environ 3km à l’intérieur de la gorge, et nous avons même vu des Wallabies lorsque la nuit tombait ! Enfin, la dernière de la journée a été Glen Helen ou j’avais réservé pour la nuit. Arrivé à 7H30, tout juste le temps de prendre commencer à prendre une douche que la serveuse vient cogner à la porte pour nous dire que si on veut manger il faut qu’on vienne dans les 5 mins ! Pas content du tout, on se dépêche et on commande du kangourou. Maintenant, c’est le chef qui vient pour nous dire qu’il n’y a plus de kangourou ! De mieux en mieux :( ! Donc maman et moi commandons du Baramondi, le poisson typique d’Australie et papa prend un steak. Une fois servis le poisson était dégueulasse, hyper sec ! Quelle merd* se restaurant ! Mais bon le désert pas trop le choix :( En plus ce n’était pas donné! Bref si un jour vous aller pas là, amener votre diner !

We woke up really early at 4:00am because of the flight. We took a cab and went to the airport to take our flight at 7:10am. We went a little bit earlier but anyway, it is better on that way. We passed through the security control and bip bip… Oh what is there in mum’s luggage??… She forgot a ciseau. Doesn’t matter… the worst thing arrive!! First, the flight was delayed, almost 1H; then we got on the plane and the pilot informed the passengers that there was a problem with the radio and we could not take off!! So we got off and came back to the airport and passed again through the safety control. That again, one of us was controlled individually for the explosive detection. Come on, what’s going on with that company?!? The first time I was controlled by a nice girl. Finally, we waited 5 hours before to be able to take off the tarmac of Melbourne. To apologies them, the company offers to the passengers a drink; so my dad and I took one bourbon! But never ever take Tigerairways! So we finally arrived in Alice Springs, took a car and we went to the city to buy some water and fruits. Then, we drove until Sandly Chasm. Unfortunately, we have to pay there if you want to walk, so we decided to go in another place. We stopped in Ellery Creek Big Hole but there, it’s a long walk with different camp points. So we went to the next one: Serpentine Gorge. This one had still a little bit of water but during the walk we saw a big lizard. Nice.Then, we drove to Ormidon Gorge for the sunset. Beautiful lookoutand we walked around 2 or 3 km inside the gorge. On the rocks, we saw few Wallabies!! So cute. Then, we went to Glen Helen to take our hotel and had dinner. About that, the crew told me at 8:00pm that we had to hurry because of the chief. What is that?? Anyway, we went there on time, and after we ordered kangaroos for dinner, the chief came and told us there is no more kangaroos. Fu.. you man I though. But we ordered something else, steak for my dad and Barramundi for mum & I. It was so bad, re-heated fish; so dry and bad and so expensive, 30 boxes each main course.

Nous avons commencés la journée en visitant la gorge de Glen Helen qui était juste à 10 min à pied d’ou on était. Ensuite, nous avons décidé de ne pas prendre le petit déjeuner au campement, donc nous nous sommes débrouillés avec nos fruits, pain et jambon pour notre déjeuner. Trop bon avec la vue sur la gorge ! Ensuite, direction Kings Canyon ! Pour cela, nous avons achetés un permit, une sorte de droit de passage sur le territoire aborigènes. En chemin, nous nous sommes arrêtés à Goss Bluff. C’est là où une météorite est tombée et pour nous y rendre nous avons du passer sur une voie réservée uniquement pour les 4x4 ! Puis 150 km de piste nous attendait et j’ai les parents se faire plaisir sur ce sable rouge qui rend la piste un peu glissante ! Même maman a conduit ! Génial. Arrivé à 14H à Kings Canyon, nous déjeunons, puis nous nous sommes dirigés vers le tableau d’information sur les marches à faire… Au moins 35°C prévu, haute température annoncé, soyez prudent ! Ok, papa était un peu inquiet face à sa résistance à la chaleur et comme il faut monter 100 mètres de dénivelé très prompt, nous y avons été doucement. Tout à été nickel, et la vue sur le canyon est tout simplement magnifique ! Puis la nuit approchant nous nous sommes dirigés vers le lei ou j’avais réservé pour la nuit. Petite bière pour BBQ pour diner. Au menu, 2 saucisses d’autruche et 2 de kangourou et une petite brochette de crocodile ! Trop bien mais trop mange quand même! ^^ Petit café ensuite dans la chambre avant de dormir.
We started by visited the Glen Helen Gorge which is just 10 min walk far from our hotel. Then, we decided to not take a breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant, so we took a café and ate some slice of bread with just front of our room under the sun. So beautiful, with a view on the Gorge. After that, we filled the tank up and bought the permit for the road between Glen Helen and Kings Canyon. The Aborigines expect that. Then, we drove until the Goss Bluff and passed on the 4 wheels road with our Hyundai I30. Afterward, we continued our way and drove on the unsealed road and I let my dad to have pleasure to drive on it. Mum drove too!! They were really happy with that. The track was a little bit slippery and with the red sand… Next, we had lunch front of Kings Canyon at 2:00pm and then, we went to the walks information. It was more than 35°C; high temperature but we did it!! Dad was wondering on his resistance against the heat but he did it and everyone was so happy!! The Canyon is so beautiful! Then, we want to Kings Canyon Resort to take our room for the night, had a drink and a shower. After that we had dinner, a BBQ. For the meal, two sausages of Emu and two of kangaroos with few slice of crocodile too. It was pretty good but we were so full at the end. Then, we took a café in our room before to sleep. Just one thing again, during the day, we saw a lot of animals: cows, camels, horses and lizards.

Nous sommes parti de la chambre à 7H du matin pour nous dirigés vers Uluru afin de ne pas arrive trop tard et de la grimper avant qu’il ne fasse trop chaud. Une fois arrive, pas de chance la monté est interdite car plus de 38°C sont prévus dans la journée. Dommage :( . Donc nous avons commencés par visiter Kata Tjuta. Première marche de 2,2km pour voir une petite gorge puis nous nous sommes dirigés vers la grande marche de 9,5km. Là encore, elle était interdite à cause de la chaleur. Cependant, il était toujours possible d’aller jusqu’au premier point de vu ce que nous avons bien entendu fait ! Il faisait trop chaud donc nous avons été à Yulara, une sorte de village vacance juste à coté du parc pour avoir un déjeuner bien frais ! Salade césar et glace au menu, rafraichissant non ?!. Puis nous avons été à l’endroit ou la monté de l’Uluru se fait pour voir comment elle était. Trop belle couleur orange et rouge ! Ensuite nous avons fait le tour complet en voiture bien sur car 9km à pied de cette chaleur… Nous nous sommes arrêtés à un trou d’eau. Etonnant de trouver ca autour d’un caillou. Puis nous avons visité le centre culturel avant de retourner sur Yulara et prendre notre chambre. Juste le temps de prendre une petite douche et nous sommes retournés vers Uluru pour voir le coucher de soleil. Ensuite, BBQ au campement ! Petit coté sympa, cote de bœuf à faire grillé soit même et rosé bien frais ! Trop bon ! Puis salade de fruit frais pour finir.

We left the room at 7:00am in order to drive until Uluru, over than 300km further. On the road, we saw 2 big lizards and kangaroos. Once arrived in Uluru, we had a bad surprise because we could not climb on Uluru because of the heat. Indeed, the temperature was so hot, 38°C forecast for the day. And they close the climb when almost 36°C and forecast. So we decided to start by Kata Tjuta. Firstly, we walked on the small track (2.2km return) and then, we went to the big one (9.5km return). Here again, the track was closed because the heat. But we were almost able to go to the first lookout as well. Al least 2 km walk and the temperature was so hot. After that, we went out of the National Park to Yulara to have lunch. Fresh Cesar salad with ice cream for our meals. So good to eat fresh and cold. Then, we went to Uluru and stop front of the climb way. The color on Uluru was so beautiful, so orange and red. After that, we did the entire round around Uluru and stop to the waterhole. Obviously, we did it by car and not walk the 9km because of the heat, at least 38°C on the shadow. Then, we stop to the cultural center and came back to Yulara to check-in our room. We took a shower and came to the Uluru sunset area. After the sunset, we had had dinner in the Outback Pioneer BBQ after a cold beer. Very nice, we ordered two T-bones that my dad cooked and we ate them with Cole slaw and finish by a fresh fruit salad & drunk a bottle of rosé.

Sunday, Nov. 8th 2009

Nous nous levés très tôt à 5H afin de voir le lever de soleil sur Uluru. Ensuite, nous refait le tour complet avant de revenir à notre chambre pour prendre un déjeuner. Ensuite, 7H20 il était temps de partir pour Alice Springs pour passer un peu de temps en centre ville avant de prendre notre avion pour Cairns prévu à 14H. Nous sommes arrivés à 11H au centre ville, donc le temps de faire un peu de shopping, nous sommes allés à l’aéroport vers 12H10 pour rendre la voiture. Au guichet, j’ai rencontré un couple de français, plus de la soixantaine ; et le gars était au téléphone et il parlait français. Etrange, donc j’ai pensé qu’il s’était passez quelque chose… Ensuite, la femme ma expliqué ce qui n’allait pas et le manager travaillant pour la compagnie voyant qu’on parlait la même ma ensuite expliquer de son coté. A partir de là, j’ai bien qu’il y avait eu un problème de compréhension et rien de plus. Mais bon le gars avait l’air bien remonté J ! Donc je discute et arrange l’affaire. Le plus con dans l’histoire, c’est que le français ne même pas remercié ! Stupide gars ! Bref, pendant j’avais rendu la voiture et le manager n’avait pas voulu que je parts pour que je conclue ce litige, et à la fin et il ma remercié. J’étais trop content de moi J ! Puis, nous avons pique-niqué dans l’aéroport avant d’attendre notre vol. Embarquement à 13H40 et une chose bien sympa allait m’attendre pour le vol. Une très charmante hôtesse Australienne (blonde…) nous accueillait dans l’avion et en passant nous avons un peu discuté. Puis nous avions une escale à Ayers Rock avant de reprendre le même avion et donc le même équipage pour Cairns. Et là encore et à discuter et rigoler ! C’était bien cool. Arriver à Cairns, on prend notre chambre et on se dirige dans le centre ville pour une petite visite de nuit. Achat d’un maillot de bain pour papa suivi d’une petite glace. Passage par un marché de nuit et le centre avant de rentré à l’hôtel.

We woke up so early at 5:00am and drove until Uluru to see the sunrise. Then, we did the whole round again and came back to our place to have a breakfast. After that, it was 7:20am and it was really the time to drive until Alice Springs. We arrived there at 11:00am in order to do a little bit of shopping. Next, we went to the airport at 12:10pm to get back the car. At this time, I met a couple of French guys (old) and the man was calling someone and speaking French. I thought that something wrong was happened. Then the woman explained to me the problem. After that, the guy who was working for the rent company (the manager) explained to me his version. Then, I made everyone happy by solving the understanding problem. But the bad on that story is that the French guy didn’t tell me “thanks”! Fuc… man :) But during all that time, I got back the car but the manager didn’t want that I leave because the problem with the French couple was not solved. At the end, I just wanted to thanks me for that and I was quite proud of me. Then, we had lunch “pick nick” at the airport. Then, we took our tickets and waited the boarding at 1:40pm. After the first flight to Ayers Rock (50min), just the time to pass the safety control and here it was, the boarding time for the next flight is gone. I pretty cool thing for that flight was, about one crew. During the first flight, when I got on the plane, a beautiful Australian’s girl (blond,…) was welcoming all the passengers, and we exchanged few words. At the end of the flight, when I got off the plane, she told me “see you later..” For my pleasure she was in for the next flight, and so we discussed again and laughed together! Anyways, it was pretty cool and she is beautiful, I like her. After 3 hours flight, we arrived in Cairns and we took a cab toward our hotel on the Esplanade St. just front of the sea. After check-in the room, we went to the city and visit a little bit Cairns. Dad bought a swim short and then, we ate an ice cream.

On s’est encore levé assez tôt à 5H45 afin de se préparer et prendre un déjeuner à l’hôtel avant de regagner l’embarcadère pour monter sur notre catamaran. Petit déj complet et départ à 8H de Cairns pour la barrière de corail ! Tuba et initiation à la plongé pour moi !! Premier arrêt à Michaelmas Cay où mes parents on fait du tuba et moi la plongé. Enfin, maman a essayé car elle a peur de la profondeur donc ca aura été plus baignade que tuba. Sinon tout le monde a adoré et c’est ca l’essentiel ! Ensuite déjeuner à bord du catamaran avant de gagner la seconde destination, paradise reef. Cette fois, tuba au beau milieu de l’océan au niveau d’une barrière de corail riche en poissons ! Vraiment très jolie ! Ensuite, on est rentré sur Cairns en utilisant uniquement les voiles ! Détentes durant tout le retour puis petite douche et nous sommes allés en ville pour diner.
We woke up pretty early again at 5:45am in order to have a breakfast at 6:30am at the hotel and leave at 7am. The full breakfast was good. Then, we walked up to the dock and got on the catamaran boat for our trip on the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkeling and 1st diving for me are programming!! 1st stop in Michaelmas Cay ; where my parents did a snorkel and the first diving for me. It was pretty nice but in Florida, I have to say it is better there than here. Less color and fishes but I was already very nice. Unfortunately, Mum was still afraid by the depth water and when she put her head under the water, she could not do it! So she swam after that. My dad was really happy. I was really happy with my 1st dive!! I touched coral, a turtle and I want to more than 6 meters depth. Nice. Then, we had lunch on the boat and went to the 2nd snorkel reef: Paradise Reef. That one is more beautiful! Even if that one is smaller, there are much more fishes. Really nice. After that, we came back to Cairns without using the engine but only the sailing of the catamaran. Just relaxed and enjoyed the way back. Then, we relaxed a little bit in our hotel, drunk a beer, had a shower and we went to the city to have dinner.

On s’est levé doucement et le matin a été visté de Cairns et un peu de shopping avant de regagner l’aéroport pour notre vol direction Brisbane. Arrivé à 17H15, nous avons pris notre voiture de location que nous allons garder jusqu’à Melbourne. Voiture neuve s’il-vous-plait avec 19km au compteur ! Après avoir pris notre hôtel, nous avons dans le centre ville pour diner. Puis promenade le long de la rivière avec cette vue splendide du pont de nuit ! Vraiment Brisbane c’est cool.
We woke up slowly and had breakfast at the hotel. Then, we checked-out our room and we walked to the city of Cairns during few hours before going to the airport to take our flight to Brisbane. At 5:15pm, we were in Brisbane. So we took our rent car. That one was totally new. Only 19km on the speedometer! Great. Then, we went to the CBD and checked-in our room. After that, we walked to the CBD and had dinner in Queen Walk St. Beautiful restaurant and nice CBD! After dinner, we walked on the bridge and saw the beautiful city of Brisbane by night. Seriously I like it.

Après un petit déjeuner au restaurant de l’hôtel, nous avons repris notre car qui était parquet dans les élévateurs à voiture comme on peut voir aux US. Ensuite, direction le Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Ce parc ressence le plus grand nombre de koala au monde ! Ils sont mignons ! Nous avons vus beaucoup d’animaux d’Australie et les koalas bien sur ! On en a même porté un, maman et moi. Ce n’est pas très doux mais ca va. Par contre ils sont trop fainéants ! Puis on a été à surfeur Paradise. Attention d’énormes vagues sont présentes! Bien évidement, on a été se baigner ! Mais vous devez faire attention de rester entre les drapeaux disposé sur la plage car c’est que la plage est surveillé! Belle plage et belle nanas ! Trop bien ! On est ensuite passé par Miami beach et Palm Beach, et oui il y en a aussi en Australie. Puis nous avons roulés jusqu’à Coffs Harbour où j’avais réservé pour la nuit. Cette ville à la moitié entre Brisbane et Sydney. Pour diner, on a été prêt du port et nous avons mangé un poisson avec des frites trop bon. C’était comme une dorade, tout entière bien sur et maman a mangé des crevettes avec de l’avocat. Par contre, durant le trajet, c’est incroyable le nombre de radar que l’on a vu ! Et pour les paysages, plantation de canne à sucre, élevage, forêt. Bref, complètement différent comparé aux jours derniers.

After a breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, we got back our car. It was parked in an elevator for cars as we can see in US. Then we went to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. This is the World’s biggest Park with koalas! There are so cute! We saw all the animals come from Australia, and I hold a koala, mum too!! It’s not really smooth but it’s ok. These animals are so lazy. Then, we went to Surfer Paradise. Be careful ladies & gentlemen, there are some huge waves!! And it’s allowed to swim only between two flags; we the lifeguard is. Anyway, it’s so nice; beautiful beach and girls!! After that, we passed through Miami Beach and Palm Beach… Yeh I found them in Australia too. To finish, we drove until Coffs Harbour where I booked our hotel for the night. This town is roughly in the middle between Brisbane & Sydney. For dinner, we went to the marina and ate in a very good restaurant by luck. Whole flat fish for my dad & I, specialty of the day; and king’s prawns with avocado for mum. So delicious. But on the road, it is so crazy the number of speed camera that I saw!! And for the landscape, we saw a lot of sugar plantation, wild kangaroos, forest, cows & horses. Finally, it was really different compare to the last days with the desert and the barrier reef.

Départ de Coffs Harbour vers le “Grosse banana”… Nous avons petit déjeuné su la route. En effet, la ville est connu sous le nom de la ville de la banane donc une énorme banane en béton est présente devant un parc d’attraction. Ensuite, nous avons roulé jusqu’à Port Macquarie où sur la route qui mène à la plage pleins de rochets sont peints. Puis, nous avons terminé notre chemin jusqu’à Sydney. Arrivé à 16H30, nous prenons la chambre et partons en ville. Pour diner, se sera restaurant sur la baie de Sydney avec vu sur l’opéra et le pont pour l’anniversaire de maman ! Trop jolie ! Pour le diner, menu du printemps soit poisson froid en entrée suivi d’un poisson et frite. On a terminé le repas avec un désert et j’ai organisé une petite surprise pour maman… une bougie venait éclairer son dessert ! Bonne anniversaire maman. 50 ans fêtés sur la baie de Sydney ! Petit cadeau pour marquet le coup bien entendu. Ensuite petite marche et retour à l’hôtel ou une lettre attendait maman sur son lit! Mais qui est-ce ?... C’était mimi! Et ouui même si elle n’était pas présente physiquement, elle était quand même parmi nous pour cette soirée !

Departure from Coffs Harbour toward the “Big banana”… On the way we stopped to have a fast breakfast with coffee and muffin. Indeed, this town is known to be the famous town where we can find bananas. So we can find a huge banana in concrete front of the attraction park, and it’s called “The big banana”. Next, we drove until Port Macquarie to see the way to the beach with all the painted stone. After that, we drove until Sydney and checked-in our hotel for the next three nights. We arrived at 4:30pm. Then, we walked in the CBD and found a restaurant for my Mum’s Birthday. We took a table on the 1st floor with a view on the Opera and the Bridge of Sydney!! So Nice. For the meal, we took the Spring Special; it was entrée with cold fish and then, homemade fish and chips, so good. To finish, we took a desert and I asked secretly the crew to put a candle on my mum’s desert… It was just awesome! Mum was quite affected and I gave to her a small gift to print that event. Then, we came back to our hotel and Mum had a letter on her bed… Who is it?? My sister obviously! It was a great day for this special event.

Après un petit déjeuner à l’hôtel, on est allé au Sydney Fish Market. C’est un immense marché à poisons. Bonne place pour acheter du poisson et niveau prix ce n’est pas tellement moins chère quand France. Puis on est retourné au CBD et on est passé devant le Town Hall& Queen Victoria Building. Puis, nous nous sommes reposés un peu à l’hôtel avant de retourner à l’assaut de la ville. Passage par la Martin Place et là waouh… Plein de monde en train de courir sur un podium ! En faite, il y avait une petite course d’organisée en préparation aux JO de Vancouver de 2010. Puis, nous avons été devant l’opéra, à la baie de Sydney et le pont. Après une longue marche, on est retourné à l’hôtel pour se reposer un peu avant de repartir pour trouver une place pour diner. Ca a été un italien avec vue sur le port pas mal. Enfin, nous avons pris des photos de nuit avant de rentré à l’hôtel.

We started by a breakfast at the hotel and then, we walked to the Sydney Fish Market. On the way, we passed through the darling harbor. It is an amazing place to buy any kind of fish. It looks very fresh!! J I am kidding, obviously it’s fresh my fish… the boats are just behind the market. After that, we went back to the CBD and passed front of the Town Hall& Queen Victoria Building. Then, we relaxed few minutes in our room before to come again in the streets. Next, we continued to visit the city by seeing the Martin Place. There, few persons were running on a machine. It was a race but more precisely, training for the JO of Vancouver 2010. Afterward, we passed front of the Parliament and we went to the botanic Garden. Then, we went to the Opera of Sydney, Sydney Cove & the Sydney Harbor Bridge. After that long walk, we relaxed more than one hour in pour room before going again on the streets and find a place to have dinner. It was an Italian restaurant front of the harbor and it was ok. Then, we went to the Opera to take some photos by night and we came back to our hotel.

Après un réveil tout en douceur et un petit déjeuner dans la chambre; nous avons été au jardin Botanique. Puis, direction la tour de Sydney pour avoir une vue du haut de la tour. Belle vue mais dommage il est impossible de voir complètement l’opéra car il est cacher pas un immeuble. Puis nous avons finis la visite par l’animation 3D proposé par la tour qui vous montre les choses incontournable de l’Australie. En faite, on en vue un petit bout quand même. Ensuite, après un rapide déjeuné, nous avons été à Bondi Beach, c’est la plage la plus réputée de Sydney ! Trop de monde mais que du beau monde… évidemment belles filles ! Baignade dans la mer un peu fraiche tout de même ! C’est encore que le printemps ! Ensuite, on est retourné au centre ville et choisi une place pour diner. Ca a été kangourou au menu et vraiment bien cuisine!

We woke up really slowly after the run of the last day. And we had a breakfast in our room with tea, coffee and muffins. Then, we went to the Botanic garden again because we missed the Rose Garden yesterday. Then, we went on the top of the Sydney Tower. Nice view but it quite impossible to see the entire Opera. Then, we finished the visit of the tower by a 3D animation with the best things to see in Australia… No to bad but we have seen the most part in real!! Then, we had a fast lunch and we went to Bondi Beach… That is the most famous beach in Sydney!! So many people there but it is really nice! Even if the sea was a little bit cold, we swam in. It still the spring here^^ after that, we came back to the CBD and we relaxed a little bit at the hotel before to have dinner. For that, we went to the Darling Harbor as yesterday. So many people were there and we waited before to be seated. Steak house for the choice of our restaurant and we ate kangaroos. It was the first time that my parents ate kangaroos and that meal was so well prepared! It was pretty good. Then, we came back in our room.

Après un petit déj, direction Merimbula où j’ai reserve l’hotel. En chemin on s’arrête à Bulli pour admirer la vue sur la ville. Très beau ! On fait de même pour Wollongong. Ensuite on s’est arête à Kiama pour voir un trou dans la roche qui fait un jazzer quand la mer est forte. Puis petit arrêt sur la plage de 7 miles soit 11 km environ ! Waouh c’est grand et très calme ! Ensuite on a été à Pebbly Beach, c’est un endroit complètement isolé ou on a pu voir des kangourous sur la plage ; mais avant on a du prendre une piste de sable rouge ! Puis on est arrivé à Merimbula et après avoir pris notre chambre, on a été faire un BBQ face à la mer. Un peu couvert, pas trop chaud mais c’était cool ! En plus, on a bu une bouteille de vin que l’on a acheté en chemin dans une cave. Bon concernant le vin, c’était bon mais pas top.

After we had breakfast and checked-out the room, we started driving until Merimbula, which is the place that I booked a hotel for the night. The first stop was for Bulli lookout. It is a nice area where we have a view on Wollongong since the hill! Then, we went the Blowhole in Kiama but it was not really windy so not a lot of water came through the hole. But we can imagine how that should be in the storm. Afterward, we passed front of the seven mile beach. Waouh, there is not a lot of people there, so if you want to have relaxing holidays on the beach, that is one of a good place to go. Next, we stopped at Pebbly Beach. But on the way, we had to drive on an unsealed road! It was between the trees and we were completely in a forest. Red sand sometime for the track, but the car passed it. Pebbly beach is a very quiet beach where you can see kangaroos on the beach. It is nice. To finish, we arrived in Merimbula and after we checked-in our room, we had dinner front of the beach for a BBQ with a free Australian’s BBQ! Even if the weather was quite bad, cloudy and not so warm, we enjoyed our BBQ with a bottle of red wine that we bought on the way in a winery! Obviously, we tasted different kind of wines before choose the one. Concerning the wine, it was so so.

Départ de Merimbula après 7H du matin car la route jusqu’à Melbourne. Passage par les Lakes Entrance, une belle place où la mer rentre dans un espèce de canal. Puis on a déjeuné un peu plus loin au bord d’un champ avec des vaches. Ensuite, on a roulé jusqu’à Phillip Island et on s’est arrêté au circuit. Plein de motos étaient en train de roulé sur le grand circuit. Concernant le circuit de kart, nul et en plus c’est cher 28$ pour 10min. Ensuite, on s’est arrêté le long de la cote pour admirer le paysage et été à l’endroit où il ya la parade des pingouins. Une fois sur place, on a déçus car c’est payant et on voit les pingouins derrière une vitre ! Donc on ne la pas fait et en plus, on a vu des pingouins sur le parking ! Ensuite, on est rentré sur Melbourne et nous avons diné le long de la Yarrah rivière.

The departure from Merimbula was after 7 o’clock. We stopped at the Lakes Entrance and it’s really beautiful. A lot of colors and what a nice blue for the sea!! Then we continued until the time to have lunch. We pick nick just front of a land with cows. Then, we drove until Phillip Island before to come back in Melbourne. We started stopping at the GP Circuit but my god, it’s so expensive there! It was a lot of motorcycles running on the track and just seeing them running, the price was 13.50 dollars each. And 28$ if you want to drive their go-karting! Anyway, we watched a little bit and then, we visited a really nice lookout on the South Coast. So nice but so windy!! After that, we went to the end of the Island and then, we went to see the Penguin Parade but once again, the price is too much. 20 boxes to see the penguin inside a building. Ridiculous! But on the car park, we saw two penguins so we can say that we saw the Penguin Parade J Next, we drove until Melbourne and we came back first in my place and took a tram to go in the city and we had dinner along the Yarrah River.

On est parti en milieu de mâtiner vers healesville dans la Yarrah Valley. On a d’abord commence par visité le parc de la ville où on a vu pleins d’animaux Australiens: Echidna, kangaroos, koalas, Tasmanian devil… Puis on s’est dirigés vers les vignobles et on s’est arrêté dans une petite maison familiale. La femme a été très sympas et on a goutés différents. Comparé aux vins français, on en est loin mais c’est pas mal. Ensuite, on a été à Mornington Peninsula pour voir les maisons de plage toutes colorées. Beau bord de mer et nous avons diné face à la mer et BBQ avec saucisses. Après on est rentré à Melbourne. Oh j'ai oublie que durant lr retour, j'ai eu droit a un control de police!! Toutes les voitures etaient arretees pour souffler dans l'ethilotest! C'est bon j'etais sobre :)

We left in the middle of the morning to go to Healesville in the Yarrah Valley. Firstly, we visited the Healesville Sanctuary where we saw all the Australian’s animals: Echidna, kangaroos, koalas, Tasmanian devil… And then, we went to the winery area and we stopped in a familiarly winery. THa woman there was so nice and we tested several wines. They were ok but we are far compared to the French wine. Then, we drove until Mornington Peninsula and we saw the beach houses full of colors! After that, we had pick nick just front of the sea and we cooked sausages on the free Australian’s BBQ. And then, we came to my place. Oh I forgot; during the way back I was arrested by the police for a alcotest control! Every single car was stopped for a control. For sure it was fine because I am not a "drink-man":)

Cette journée a été consacrée à la Great Ocean Road. C’est une route qui longe le bord de mer à l’ouest de Melbourne. Très belle vues et que dire des 12 apôtres… très jolie ! Ensuite pour finir la journée, nous avons diné sur Lygon St., la rue italienne pour nitre diner à Melbourne tous les 3. La température était parfaite pour diner dehors, 31°C ;)

That day was designed to the Great Ocean Road. What a beautiful landscape along the South West Coast of Melbourne. And what can I say for the 12 Apostles… So beautiful! To finish this day, we had dinner in Melbourne on Lygon St. ; the Italian street, and we ate outside because the temperature was 31°C! What could be better for our last night ?!?

Le matin a été Vistoria Market. Un énorme marché ou l’on trouve absolument tout. Nourriture, souvenirs… Bref, idéal pour les souvenirs. Ensuite, on est retourné sur le circuit de F1 et j’ai fais un tour complet de circuit de F1 de Melbourne ! Dommage la limitation est de 40km/h L Ensuite on a visité le jardin botanique. Après avoir rendu la voiture, on a bu une bière en ville et rentré à ma colloc pour que mes parents fassent leurs bagages. Ensuite direction l’aéroport car il est l’heure. Enregistrement terminé, on boit une dernière bière avant de se dire au-revoir…

During the morning, we went to Victoria Market and we bought some souvenirs from Australia. Then, we went to Albert Park, the F1 track and I drove on it!! I did one lap! So good, but unfortunately, the speed limit is only 40km/h :( Anyway, after that, we went to the Botanic Garden and then, we have bring back the car and we drunk a beer in the city. Then, we came back in my place and my parents closed their luggage. After that, we went to the airport and checked-in the luggage, we drunk a last beer together and these was it, the time to say good bye was arrived. This holidays were so great!!
